CHINA CALLS VIRUS LAWSUIT
The ministry and other government departments that were Chinese have denied accusations that officials postponed reporting on the magnitude of the outbreak in the central Chinese city of Wuhan last year, despite reports that concerns over the political stability were put above public health concerns.
Personnel who reported the outbreak were silenced under threat of Wuhan, and legal retaliation went without saying cases throughout the holding of a yearly provincial government conference.
This lawsuit is absurd and has no factual and legal basis at all, Geng said in a briefing. Since the outbreak began, China has moved in an open, transparent, and accountable manner and the U.S. government must dismiss such a vexatious lawsuit,” he explained.
